Chicago gets in on the British Invasion
With reporters parked in front of the palace and screaming Brits lining the streets of London we know that the royal birth is more than a big deal. It’s the start of a new era for the Royal Family. Chicago is getting in on the fun and Erica James, owner of the super posh kiddie boutique Young Royal Couture, has turned her store into Royal Birth Watch HQ! She’s pulled out all of the stops and is giving away fabulous gifts, pics with the Royal Mummy and Daddy and on her hot white throne, and free champagne and sparkling cider on the day of the birth.
“It’s a lot of fun to see her Royal Window and
she’s changing it all the time.” says a Katie, a local
neighbor who walks past the store on her way to work
every morning. “It just makes you feel like you are
getting a little piece of the British Baby Fever in
the middle of the city.”
With a full stock of very cheeky fashions for sizes
0-6 YRC’s style offerings strike a fashionable balance
of fresh English style and American flare. Young
Royal Couture opened in June 2013 and is quickly
becoming a neighborhood favorite. What are people
flocking to? Why the rhinestone encrusted custom
baby shoes, of course.
Young Royal Couture was created to serve the trendy yet traditional child. A super posh boutique that prides itself on delivering high quality kids fashions to the unique child who stands out from the crowd, YRC was created in 2013, with its first location in the upscale neighborhood of Bucktown in Chicago, Illinois.
YRC is a premier children’s retail boutique offering a variety of clothing, toys, accessories, books, and custom designed shoes for children aged six and under. Young Royal couture is definitely the place “wear kids feel like royalty!”
